In the almost painless procedure, botulinum-toxin (botox) is injected into the underarm skin through thin needles. Botulinum toxin (botox) is a purified form of the toxic protein produced by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. The two most well-known and most widely used products are Botox (botulinum-toxin A) and Myobloc (botulinum-toxin B). To stop excessive perspiration, it is necessary to apply the higher amount of toxin; however, this is still far less in quantity than a toxic dose of the preparation.

How Safe is Botox Treatment?
Cosmetic use of Botox has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and has been registered in several EU countries. Since 2004, its use has also been approved in Hungary to block or reduce excessive sweating.
How long does it last and is the treatment painful?
The treatment takes only a short time, it is painless, no special pretreatment is required and it leaves no marks. Therefore, after the treatment the patient’s environment will notice nothing of the process.
When will I feel the effect of the treatment?
