Can strong, dark hair also be removed with IPL?
The most effective combination for permanent hair removal (epilation) is light skin and dark hair. Areas covered by blond or grey hair cannot be effectively treated.
Before permanent hair removal is it necessary to let the hair grow in the area to be treated?
Yes, at least two weeks prior to the examination, no hair removal is recommended. In this way, on the basis of the type, colour and strength of the hair, the dermatologist can assess the effectiveness of a permanent hair removal.
Will the treatment be painful?
No, it is not painful, but depending on the level of sensitivity, it may cause little discomfort. It is a gentle therapy, it disables hair follicle growth fast and with no pain.
Will IPL leave a mark?
Permanent hair removal with IPL causes only mild reddening of the skin which disappears by the following day. It has no further side effects.
